Hey Sponsors...
Is there anything an affiliate can do to help clean up some of the pirated content for your sites? Do DMCA's always have to be sent? What about rapidshare? I used to get content pulled all the time from Rapidshare, for several sponsors, but I think Rapidshare got onto my game because they started ignoring my requests "as an affiliate of".

This may be a dumb question, but do you give the sponsors a heads up when you see their content somewhere else?

might as well give up, its a never ending battle

Causing absolute havoc on one of these rapidshare boards. I've had Rapidshare pull several thousands of URLs, with hundreds of gigs of content, from one board alone...and I'm not gonna fucking stop anytime soon. Instead of submitting TGPs... I'll delete these massive threads of free content. BTW.. it may seem like the war on drugs.. but we can't just give up. I've already seen some big posters refusing to "re-up" the links.
Best quote of the day from one rapidshare asshole: "I assume the Alison webbies complained and had the links killed off. It is their business after all. I won't be reuploading my gigs and those were the only links. lousy haters!" With the amount of affiliates out there like myself.. each one target one board and as an agent of the sponsor.. go fucking ballistic deleting threads. I bet we could cause a disruption with porn Rapidshare links. |
