Thats my guess also.. That way he can come and go when he wants and has enough room to lay out, work or have guests...

The press alone will be worth much more then that for ABC to pick up that tab.

Jimmy Kimmel is one of the hardest working people in television. I remember an episode of Kimmel live where it showed his schedule. This guy has a desk full of meds just to keep him going.

I agree. What torture, what a waste. Whatever he earns from filling in for regis will have a heafty chunk taken out for travel, not to mention the commute is going to kill. Hardly seems worth it.

I'm sure the PR will help his late show ratings, but I don't see much of an overlap when it comes to viewship of the two programs. :Oh crap

No the meds were not a joke,I watched that episode,he came on to do his show and his face was very very swollen due to a allergic reaction to something,and he still did the show..then he had to go straight to hospital to be treated...
