I play "follow the Rep" - kinda like a Hairdresser.

Eddie from VS, Tassy, DonMike, Joey from AEBN, Juan from PrideBucks and Dwreck- are just a few that are Tops on my list. So what ever they are selling - I'm buying.

Even though BlueToon Media is one of the littlest fish - our favorite Reps always treat us like we are the catch of the day.

So youbecha, we are tickled pink to add Spa Cash to the growing list of great programs to pimp. Go git `em Tassy!

do you also 'follow the reps' who are changing programs and then you promote the new program which they are repping?

I never thought anyone would be actually doing it.

I never really even talked to my reps when i was promoting other stuff, I just did my thing. I never really paid attention to where they moved to or from either, now I do more so but it wont change my decisions about who to promote or not.

I follow results

Sly 10-13-2007 08:31 AM

I can't even keep track of who I'm working for! How would I keep track of everyone else?

Extreme John 10-13-2007 08:32 AM

thats a great point Sly.

hateman 10-13-2007 08:34 AM

in most cases these REPS dont know shit about what they are selling, so why would i follow anything they offer? just because they got a pair of fake tits?

they are REPS because they cant make money any other way, other than annoy webmasters for their traffic.

I was kidding about myself... (send traffic to Archive Cash) but for the most part, it's just way too difficult to keep track of individual people. And honestly, I have no idea why anybody really would. The typical affiliate rep really has little power and cannot change how a program is ran. In most cases... it's just a job that pays bills.

Following them would just take way too much effort...effort that should be spent making money!

Madame0120 10-14-2007 08:57 AM

Guess it is just a difference in style. I'm old school sales and I know that when a Rep takes the time to help me, that they will do that, reguardless of whom he works for.

shrug .. maybe it's cause we attend so many shows, and get to meet our Reps on a more personal basis.

Not in a million years

kaori 10-14-2007 09:04 AM

never really had a rep help me with anything that I couldn't think of / do myself easily...

Diligent 10-14-2007 09:18 AM

I can't say I actively follow... I'd feel I was kind of a stalker if I did.

But an effect I think a rep's company-hopping can have, is the mainly desired effect... attention.

When you hang around on boards, you'll recognize those with a "constant presence" after a while,
and when a rep's move is announced, it'll bring your attention to the new company - a company that you maybe "never noticed" before. Wether you like the company or not.

We're kinda soaked in marketing, if it's not us marketing it's us being marketed to.
