Severe Resource Usage & Strange Stats In STT (HELP!)
 

So I got an email from my host telling me that my stt-out.php file is using tons of resources (cps?) on their server. According to them, most customers use anywhere from 0.1 - 2 cp per day, but I am somehow using 125 - 140.

I don't push much traffic to the sites on this account. In fact, I'd say I push less than 10k per day amongst a few sites.

The weird thing is that when I log in to Smart Traffic Trader, I see shitloads of proxy hits. I have no idea where they are coming from, but high volumes have been coming in daily for some time now. The STT script for the site that is supposedly using so many resources shows 1.8k uniques for the last 24hrs, but also over 12k blocked proxies!

Does anyone have any idea what is happening here? I would think it was a hitbot attack or something like that, but the stt-out.php file would only be triggered if the hitbot clicks a link...so I don't know if that's likely or what.

There is no way that my low traffic volume can cause this much resource usage, is there? If it helps, my avg prod is around 190-240%.

Well I thought I'd get a faster response here than on the STT site, but I guess not. Bump for help, please.

Ask your host for access to raw logs, and perhaps some help interpreting them.
