There's that electric car that outperforms a ferrari and porshe on the (I think it was) 1/4 mile... costs like 200 g's or something... pretty sweet ride if you have the dough to blow.

Was a thread about it a bit back... I'd look it up, but, well, search is disabled. :(

Interesting point but ZEV is just a first step until we find large scale renewable nonpolluting replacements for coal/oil for power stations.

Vitasoy 10-13-2007 01:55 AM

The ride looks flat out ugly.

Vitasoy 10-13-2007 01:56 AM

Wouldn't mind driving one of those though

Bird 10-13-2007 02:31 AM

Criticism that electric cars are hardly green considering that amps have to be made, usually by burning coal or in the production of radioactive waste, is ?bullshit,? Eberhard declares. ?The amount of actual pollution put into the air per mile is much smaller.?

qxm 10-13-2007 03:03 AM

dAm... that open source car looks like a dam shoe, a really ugly shoe.......

Emil 10-13-2007 03:40 AM

lol, I would never drive around in that just because it's so ugly.

Dude I swear to god it's a fucking conspiracy by the auto manufacturers. I think they go out of their way to make fuel efficiency and enviro-friendly cars look like dog turds.
