hi guys

im curious to see what you guys are thinking about seo experts? the thing about those kind of guys in our industry who offer that service is: if you are that good like you tell me? why the hell you dont do it yourself and cash yourself? :) :)

anybody found some serious guy or company?

Shoe makes lots of $ from the guys he's referred so he has reason to give them the latest tips.

CarlosTheGaucho 10-12-2007 03:35 PM

I guess the really good ones are expensive as hell if you would wanted to hire them..

Young 10-12-2007 03:45 PM

Step 1. Start a new thread

Step 2. Title the thread "Share your best SEO blogs/site links here"

Step 3. Sit back and save your money

Shoe? ....

I hardly know a few experts who work for other people, part time. Most of the experts work for themselves.
Why sell your service to someone for a couple hundred dollars per hour when you can make yourself more with the same amount of time and effort? :winkwink:

dazzato 10-12-2007 04:02 PM

young.....yeah might be a good idea :):):)

BlueDesignStudios 10-12-2007 04:05 PM

they can be worth the cash but they won't get you #1 spot I expect

Shoemoney?

My point of view is if the guys are truly good at SEO, why sell the services to someone else to make them rich? Why not use the tools themselves and profit on a much larger scale? This would also create residual income rather than a one time fee. I personally would never share my methods, as I profit better from spending my time applying them on my own projects. I am sure there are a few who for whatever reason offer real services...We are all in it for the money right? :2 cents:

Learn it yourself. There's many free seo blogs and forums on the Net. A lot of it is trial and error and totally depends on your niche and how competitive it is. Just my 2 cents :D

I don't believe any REAL SEO expert would work for someone else besides himself :2 cents:

TiaLing 10-12-2007 11:04 PM

90% of them are full of shit.....trust me on this. You're better off learning a few things and doing it yourself. The other 10 % charge a small fortune because they can. Learn to do yourself. It's not that hard. I'm no expert, but have been able to get top 10 placements by just reading up on it a little.

Theres nothing to it Do it yourself, download joomla, open sef, and bookmarking

kirupai 10-13-2007 12:20 AM

There is no money in SEO.

Sysgenix 10-13-2007 12:33 AM

There is always good and bad in the bunch. Just never take a hard SALES pitch as those guys are usually just selling crap.

martinsc 10-13-2007 01:47 AM

there are only a few experts that might be worth the money.
You can do SEO by yourself and sometimes even a lot better than those so called "expert".

SmokeyTheBear 10-13-2007 02:50 AM

its all about goals and meeting them

get a goal, get a contract , if contract s not fulfilled , its a scam . plain and simple

DjiXas 10-13-2007 03:09 AM

There are NO SEO experts who will optimize your sites, they are optimizing their sites, etc. But there are SEO ppl who knows how to do that as well, and yes, they charge money. If you have money, you don't know SEO, hire one. They are not scammers, at least some of them.

if throwing money at it don't work, you can always ask google
http://www.google.com/support/webmas...n&answer=35291
its free and you will need to know this anyway.
plenty of other webmaster stuff on that page.

koalat 10-13-2007 07:54 AM

SEO is a great profit centre for a lot of companies because the term itself 'Search Engine Optimization' freaks a lot of people out, especially ones that aren't too familiar with search engines and how they work, that makes the service worth more already.

From my own personal experience and from what I've read etc. You can save yourself a lot of money by doing it yourself (haha and make more by charging others for it) and the search engines really don't care how much you did or didn't pay anyone!):thumbsup

I'd say even 100% of 'em :) I know a couple really good SEO experts. These guys are doing crazy money on SE traffic. But they are working from themselves only. They have be idiots to share their profit with others by means of providing them their REAL SEO services.

Fact: A REAL SEO EXPERT would never become employed. Because he don't need any of your resources. If he is a SEO expert, he already have everything, e.g. his own site networks etc, and the most important thing: he has a knowledge. You just won't be able to suggest him anything he can't get from himself.

woj 10-13-2007 10:23 AM

Hiring a SEO specialist is kinda like hiring an accountant to do your taxes. If you are completely clueless and your taxes are a complete mess (your sites aren't optimized at all) then hiring just about any accountant will give you huge benefits. If your taxes are already pretty well prepared, finding an accountant that will do a better job is very hard.
