they just different types of sugar. the only difference is where the carbon molecule attaches to the atom.

some sugars are easier/harder to digest.

ie lactose is the sugar found in milk.... lot's of people can't digest that well

Anything ending with -tose or rose is a sugar of some sort such as sucrose which is cane or vegtable sugar.

Yeah... I think it has something to do with the valence electrons and the type of bonds and shit... I've been outta school too long to remember... but I think Hydrogen has the strongest bond, and since Lactose has 2 more hydrogen atoms, it's harder to break up.
