So, I'm sitting here watching the Food Network (I'm addicted to fucking cooking shows) and wondering "What do the board bitches at GFY watch when watching the Food Network?"

I'm all about Iron Chef and that Food 911 guy, but he's a cocky prick (not as cocky a prick as Bobby Flay though). Imagine the Food 911 guy bitchslapping Bobby Flay for Cocky Prick Chef Of The Year....

Emeril gets on my nerves but I had the pleasure in working in his kitchen in Las Vegas and found the experience very high pressure, but highly entertaining (unlike his failed sitcom).

I also like Jamie Oliver, but the guy is totally un-chef...never wears a hat or hair net (doesn't even bother to comb his hair) He's entertaining as hell, but if I walked into a restaurant and saw him cooking I'd think "crikey, when did they start letting the homeless in here to cook"

Actually, I want to see Bobby Flay spear Martha Stewart with a fork and smack her around with a cutting board before stuffing a chicken up her ass.......

cooking with YAN, of course.

Emeril's show is so so - I prefer to grab his recipes off the net so I dont have to listen to BAM over and over again.

Iron chef is my all time favorite because of the blend of cultures and how it affects the outcome of the food....

Iron Chef has ingredients like fish tumors and eel farts . . . and the chairman's clothes are sweet.

Jamie Oliver is fantathtic

I think I speak on behalf of most people in the United Kingdom when I say : please, keep Jamie Oliver.

Not that he doesn't cook some good things - he does. More that you can't blink over here without seeing him. Remember how micheal jordan was in every comercial for a while? Well, thats our Jamie.


When I was home last I watched Iron Chef...funny as heck. Taped a couple episodes and brought them home for hubby to see. I sort of liked the 30 minute meal lady (trying to remember I was only home for a week) but I honestly didn't like Emril very much. Didn't see what the fuss was all about....stop chatting and cook already.

Used to love Yan. Wish he was over here. In the UK I like a guy called Paul Rankin. His wife is Canadian so I am sure he will show up over there at some point.


btw...when I was channel surfing back home I loved Beat the Geek...wish I could get that over here.

i like jamie oliver...mainy because its pretty entertaining and you learn a thing or two while watching...

I like the one that uses all the Tabasco sauce... he's funny... and the guy that says POW or SHAZAAM or some shit... :)

Rachel Ray does the 30 minute meals, but I really like her 40 dollars a day show, she goes around, and has 40 bucks for all her food that day.

My favorite is Alton Brown, I love the Good Eats show.

That naked chef guy, is he gay? I think they must have made him chop his hair off for that reason hehe

But ya can't beat the entertainment value of Emeril. I did not get to meet him but I did do some custom interior design work for Delmonico's in New Orleans when they remodeled it in 98. We missed the grand opening party but I may hit them up when I go back someday as I was promised more work but moved away.

I think my favorite food show is Unwrapped. Its almost dangerous to smoke pot and watch that show. Hella cool. :)

A Cooks Tour rocks, it's on Friday night.
My 2 year old daughter LOVES Iron Chef. I like it less now that
Morimoto is gone, but Sakai rocks.
Alton Brown (Good Eats) and Jamie Oliver (Olivers Twists, Naked Chef) are both really good cooks, and their cook books are great, their shows are a little lame though, but I still watch.
I'm such a junkie.

My 15 year old brother stayed with me for 3 weeks this summer. There were two shows that he absolutely HAD to watch daily: Beat the Geeks and Sponge Bob.

Drove me nuts.

A Cook's Tour - that guy is a pisser - loved the one where he ate iguana

Iron Chef - I'm into the dubbing, cracks me the fuck up

Emeril Live - he makes food I'd eat

Food911 - you are right that guy is a cocky prick

Molto Mario - even though some of that food is too fucking Italian for me

Good Eats - wish he'd shut the fuck up and cook more - reminds me of Thomas Dolby -"She Blinded Me With Science!"
