I'll speculate and say adult.com had plans for a social networking site for people of the industry to make more money on webmaster advertising?

the majority of people there aren't webmasters..

it's mostly cam sluts, surfers & wannabe pornstars

well....I dunno if i'm classified as a wanna be pornstar...lol....not a camslut....but i've seen alot of pretty big porn girls on there....probably not a lot of webmasters, though.

I do a decent amount of business with models I have met on the site.

There a lot of big name porn stars on it.

I go on it occasionally, but as far as biz I get more out of adult who's who. It's all good though, I think the AEBN guys did a great job putting it together and it's a great way for people in the talent side to get some free exposure.

I have a profile there, but haven't logged in in ages...
