Is a Yahoo listing worth the $600?

What do you guys think?

What other online directories are worth a submission?

I wouldn't pay more then $100 to be in the yahoo directory.. it use to be free.

I wish Google Dmoz wasn't abandoned I mean ffs Wiki is user based and it updates within 5 seconds of lastest breaking information.

Depends on the category and the industry. Yahoo directory links will help you rank higher. It's just a matter of deciding whether that jump in the rankings will bring you in more than $600.

All my sites are listed in yahoo and I didn't pay anything

Yahoo Canada still allows free submissions, just keep following up with there email and re-applying every half year. However we do not see too much useful traffic from there anymore, but we are hardcoded listed there.

Dude you can easily get listed in yahoo for free

Yahoo is not what it use to be....
Take your $600 and buy more domains , link them all together and work on back links... to get some good PR's on them.In the long run you will be happier!

I was (this thread reminded me that I gotta hit them up!), they charged me $500 to incude Bridesonblacks and TastyCrisa into Yahoo's paid inclusion.

Its been 2 months and..

Tastycrisa got 500 uniques and 1 sale

BridesOnblacks got 8 (EIGHT) uniques and 2 sales

I know ratios of 1:4 are good LOL, but umm EIGHT uniques

yes it's worth it.
