at this point, non traditional would be a sc hool where kids went, actually learned something and DIDNT get shot

typically it is a school for kids that for some reason can't handle regular school. They either have learning problems or discipline problems or they are teenage mothers that type of thing.

It means not traditional.

Being that the ages were diverse, I'd guess learning problems.

It means the students actually take books home and read them.

Yeah, my traditional school didn't have anyone with firearms. Perhaps non-traditional means the students are allowed to pack heat.

It sounds to me like it was a charter school, either that or it was special school run by the public school corporation for kids who have discipline problems.

Uh, it is a Science and Technology school that is partially
funded by the Gates Foundation. And yes it was run like
a charter school where the students had to apply to get in.
