Flynn 10-10-2007 12:55 PM

Lots of people here have had it. If you search lasik it there will probably be a lot of threads.

Shagbunny 10-10-2007 12:56 PM

I know many people that have had it done. No one has any complaints and they all state best thing they've ever done. Just do it :)

I have several friends who have had it done and their only regret was not having done it sooner. I would like to have it done, but right now I'm in love with my glasses!

One of the greatest investments i did...U got to do it!! Make sure you lasik offers wave front technology. Its where they take pics of your inner eye and the computer knows where the laser has to go to get the best vision. Its fucking awesome! Takes about 10-15 min and you pretty much see perfect a couple hours after the surgery.

1 of the best decisions i made. I was sick of contacts as well although i didnt mind glasses sometimes....

i actually have 2020 and my right eye is even better than 2020 which can happen....

just make sure you get it done by a place with history and is reputable...its your EYES

I had it done a little over a month ago.

I had a astigmatism and had to get a procedure called PLK done which takes a bit longer to heal.

With regular Lasik they usually use a machine to cut a round flap of your cornea, fold it back, apply the laser treatment and then fold the flap back over. You usually will see 20/20 within 24 hours.

With PLK they scrape off a few layers of your cornea and then apply the laser treatment and it takes a month or so to heal. The first 2 weeks really sucked! Anyone I spoke to on icq right afterwards had to put up with my 40pt font sizes lol

I'm glad I had it done though :)

I had it done not too long ago and I must say I'm sooo happy. It's the best decision I've ever made. No more contacts or glasses. Now I can go swimming without any problems... Do it!!!! :-)

roughly what did you all pay for the surgery? I hear all these 500+ off radio ads lately in the dc area for the upcoming holidays but haven't called and checked out prices yet

tical 10-10-2007 07:43 PM

i did it 2 years ago, i would totally do it again

DO IT

Fap 10-10-2007 07:44 PM

my folks did it a few years back and have no problem

MissMina 10-10-2007 09:18 PM

I was actually talking about it the other day but hesitant because it's my fucking eyes they are messing with. But glad to see this thread. Tired of wearing glasses and don't want to deal with the hassle of contacts anymore.

My eyes were -7 and -8 and I had it done a couple years ago with Bauch and Laum LadarVision equipment at LasikPlus and... it was the best fucking thing I ever did. Fuck glasses and contacts! My life totally changed.

AZNNC 10-10-2007 09:33 PM

If your eyes get bad again, can you do the surgery a 2nd time?
I'm only 23 years old, I'm actually only about -2 or so, I dont even wear glasses right now but probably should. I've thought about getting it, but I'm worried my eyes will eventually get bad again and I'll be stuck with glasses forever?
