I got some big fat buds here that are not dried enough and a little harsh to smoke, anyone got some good tips on drying buds quickly and efficiently?

set your oven to 200 F. put them there for 30 minutes. -
Don't do either of those if you love your buds. You've obviously been patient enough to wait for them to grow. Give them a few days to properly dry out. Don't try baking a lot of it. Maybe just a bit to taste and satisfy your lust.

I didn't grow them I bought them....good buds are very expensive down here $700 for a little less then 2 ounces (50g) of fat buds.

PAPER BAG is ok...but leave top of bag open
if you cant wait to smoke the buds ..take a small amount a place it near a 40-60 watt light bulb...it will dry quickly without raising the temeture of the bud so much where the thc glands are heated and the majority of the buds potential for getting high is lost.
Hoenslty its worth it to wait...smoke some ragweed while waiting the few days

Paper bag's the best option, but it'll only best your air-dry time by about half.... still gotta wait in the day+ range.
Oven at a _low_ temperature should be fine for a few buds, if you want to hurry it up.
Works well for Hops - a close cousin to cannabis.-D.

Don't do anything stupid and "nuke" it. Just leave the bag open or take a small nug and set it out and it'll be dry later today for you to enjoy. : )Comment

Ice cream bucket with silica gel or other desiccant (available from hardware stores) in the bottom. Then put whatever you want to dry on a screen hanging above the desiccant but not touching it. Close the bucket and it'll suck the moisture right out of it in no time.

hops dont get you high becuase its heated...marijuana does.
heating marijuana and relasing the thc crystals in an oven or micorwave is pretty much killing the potential of getting you high an a waste of weed.especially somones homegrown
....another myth is eating uncooked marijuana will get you high..it wont..unless you cook it and release the thc crystals in the food itself ...the thc oils are cooked into the food..you eat food..you get high..

well i did put a small bud in a paperbag and in the microwave on defrost for like 50 seconds...i did overdry it a little bit buy i smoked 2 bowls very smooth and a lot better tasting then then wet weed.hops dont get you high becuase its heated...marijuana does.

I did say "_low_ temperature."
THC doesn't release from buds to any significant degree until about 350 degrees F from what i've just now read.
I'd imagine 200-225 degrees F would be safe for a couple dozen minutes - wouldn't you think?
Interesting info about the uncooked pot you have there, though... makes sense, but I didn't realize it.-D.

wow i can't believe you microwaved that shit.
anytime i get some real fresh weed right off the plant i always let dry in a bag for a day or so and cure it in mason jars for a month or more. id rather let it cure and buy more ready to smoke weed then nuke something lol..Comment

Use a box fan, air conditioner filter, and some bungee cords.Comment

Keep it warm and allow some ventilation every so often.
Chop it up and it will dry faster..
Over night should be long enough....
or just smoke it in a pipe using scissers to cut it
If you want it right away.. remember the following dry it on a sheet of paper in DARK cupboard..[light will reduce the content of THC!]Comment

slow dry them, then put them in jars for curing, like good wine it gets better with age, be sure they are air tight though, I have some really nice buds drying as well. Call me a lucky man, I live in the NLComment

Make some hash oil out of the fresh buds while the remaining buds are drying if you really can't wait to test out. Its really easy when you use gas lighter fluid. Hit me up and I will help you with more info if you like.
It would be a shame to waist those buds with quick drying, makes 'm harsh and really affects the taste and effects negatively.

Just take them out of the bag or whatever you have them in and leave them on a plate or a tray somewhere. If it's still taking too long then just break them up into smaller pieces and leave them there. That's all it takes.
