Stuff To Do In Vancouver?
Hey guys, I just booked a corporate apartment in Vancouver for 2 months until I can find a nice condo or house in the area. My apartment is on Robson St.... I heard this is a very cool place to live.
Could anyone give me some good suggestions on things I should check out? Clubs? Bars? Restaurants? Shows? I can't wait to get out there and chill by the ocean and do some heavy skiing at Whisltler this winter. I move Oct 1 so I would love to meet up with some people out in Vancouver as I know just about no one except for Shemp and Grant from Hot Sex Series!LOL!:1orglaugh Anyways looking forward to seeing your responses. Robson is awesome.. you need to hook up with Brent from SexInc and Kalley Milley.. there are some super good people up in Vancouver!

I love Whistler. Fucking gorgeous up there. We were planning on moving DarkDollars HQ to Vancovuer before deciding upon Toronto.
There are some great stripclubs there, especially the Number 5 Orange and if you like your unclothed 18 yaer olds a bit on the sleazy side (goodness knows I do) then check out The Paramount Club on Columbia in New Westminster....there's an ultra hot multi-tattooed stripper named Lady Lux who does a set with a strobe light while in a nuns outfit and "Nativity In Black" from Black Sabbath blaring away...... |

I am in Vancouver ( Maple Ridge ) give me a hollar and I can tell you some things...
I own a kart race track about 30 min from downtown and I can hook you up with some adrenaline.... You are in the heart of it all on Robson and should not have any trouble finding enterainment, food, clothes all within walking distance... Whistler is about 1.5 hours away... Both Stadiums are walking distance or a quick cab ride for Hockey, Football, and concerts.... Brandi's is close ( arguably the best stripbar in town ) The beach is 10 min walk away... All kinds of transportation options are close, airport 30min, rail 5 min, helijet to whistler walking distance, train to whistler close... Good choice... Vancouver is nice... go to www.realtylink.org for your house shopping... |

Shit man Vancouver has got to be one of the nicest cities in the world. (ive done tons of travelling to back this up!!!) I love it here. Especially when we have summers like we did this year. It's great. And yes i can't fukn wait till snowboarding season. there's actually three local mountains. about 25min from where you will be. a little farther for me. Whistler does rock and has some great nightlife...oh and did i mention the girls here. WOW. There's a few places to go downtown. ive had good times at "The Crush" Older people more sophisticated and no attitude. and very soon all the clubs are open till 4am. too cool
Anyways enough blabbering...feel like it give me an email and ill tell you [email protected] See Ya :thumbsup |

Hey mang! I just moved to Vancouver too, so give me a shout, icq# 115575580 & we can maybe hook up with some of these other miscreants... I've been here for ONE day and I love this city alraeady!!!
|
I have become a big booster of this city. I done a load of travelling (including S.E. Asia - Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Burma for 2 1/2 months earlier this year) and lived in several cities in US and Canada (last one was San Francisco) and I have decided to plant my flag in Vancouver as it just feels right here.

whatever ya do when ya do settle down: don't move to Richmond!
It'll be the first to fall into the ocean when the big hits:1orglaugh Of course I shouldn't talk since I live in Steveston(south Richmond) |

This might sound like a stupid question but does Vancouver ever get any small earthquakes or is that all farther down south?

you are right, last one was over a year ago and it was based in seattle and we just felt the ripple up here...
woke me up cuz I was sleeping in but didnt even knock down a picture... was lame. |
Just what I needed...A good excuse to go to BC. :) I think I will round up a few of the Seattle boys on my way through there and bring them all up to party with you.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but in an earlier incarnation i had exposure to emergency preparedness.
there is a major fault line just west of vancouver island. Unlike the san andreas one in california which is ALWAS moving, the one off our coast is locked. it unlocks with devestating force(ie tsunamis, rising and falling of land). I've been told that it will likely last some two minutes with 8 or greater on the richter scale. It unlocks about every four hundred years. We're overdue right now. i'm doomed:( :helpme |
