Question: Does Acknowledging differences among races make you a racist?

WARNING: This is an intellectual discussion.

Now, I'm not talking about anyone on the board in particular, nor is this a response to any specific thread. I'm just saying I've had this argument with people a million times.

My opinion is this: We are different (in general). I'm not talking about societal differences caused by poverty or social events, I'm talking genetics...Example:
-White people have no rhythm
-Blacks are more athletic
-Asians have a tendency to be smarter
-I'm sure you can think of a million of them.

These are not 100% on the money, they are generalizations, more than 50% correct or at least appear that way. Non-damaging stereotypes.

Is it so wrong to laugh at our differences, or are we supposed to pretend that there are no physical or social differences between us whatsoever?

To me (I could be wrong) racism is associated with hate and a feeling of superiority. Acknowledging differences shows neither? Am I right?

Thoughts?

acknowledging them is one thing, anyone with common sense will acknowledge them. i think the people who are racists are the ones who go out of their way to make people aware of the differences or try to convince people how their race is superior. people who arent racists just simply dont give a shit or waste any time on it.
