pr0's blind rage moment: CAPTCHAS
why do i now have to type in a captcha for everything....fuck now even checking stats on NATS sometimes requires a captcha
if i buy something, captcha if i send someone a message on a site, captcha enter my e-mail somewhere for a newsletter, fucking CAPTCHA!!! fucking retarded, they solve nothing..anyone with $1000 a month wanting to bypass them can hire a room full of monkeys this just leaves your average every day mother fucker a little bit more squinty-eyed/blind & a little bit more pissed off with the service sponsors i suggest you take out this nats plug in, & replace it with a keyword strength indicator for webmasters require they use at least 4 letters & 4 numbers in their password (which cant be 1234) then there is no need for the captcha system at all |

yeah, some captchas are just to out of hand. Even with my glasses on I can't read some of the shit they put out there. I like when captchas are actually a word, eliminates part of the guessing game.
|
they are making them impossible to read now to, thanks 2 OCR systems....what the fuck am i supposed to do next, answer a question?
what color is the sun? red, yellow? wtf just lemme send my shit! & signup! |
fuck it, i hate captcha....
sometimes it's almost impossible to read and takes several tries to type that shit in... |
I'll add another vote of hate for being unable to read most of the captahas and having to go through 3 or 4 of the damn things until i can actually see one well enough to type it in....

Oh lord that pisses me off  |
some are embedding them in flash ;) that helps to work around ocr??
|
Had to do a captcha to run a search on a message forum. fucking stupid. GFY has the sense to simply limit searches by time - what is it - 60 seconds between them?

I think the world can survive without CAPCHAs
|
That and image recognition software is getting to the point where capchas can be defeated in an automated way.
|
I had to use a capcha on a site I have that takes user comments. I hated it, but I was getting slammed with spam bots. Even though I strip all code from the comments, idiots would still bomb me with bullshit pill domains and crap.
But I couldn't stand the capcha, so I started using flash forms, and (for now) the bots have stopped. |

There will be no CAPTHCHA image in v4.

i agree captchas are a bitch.....
|
I hate captcha's especially the ones where the letters used look too much like each other, like the g and 9. Frustrating as hell.

I only use captchas on my mainstream sites and blogs.

Soon we'll have to captcha to post on this board!
|
seriously fuck capchas. all it means to people is a bit more cost to the automation process. Stop making our life hell and get rid of them all together.
