My brother girlfriend lives in another state too, but just 2 hours drive from here (so almost all the weekends they are together) while my girl is just a bit more than 2 DAYS drive.

Long time relationships are awesome!!! My g/f lives in Europe, I go visit her like 4 times a year and do what ever I want the rest of the year . But this summer she is coming permanently to US, so I guess my fun times are over :( , but on the bright side I don't have to spend anymore money on the airplane tickets :)

well, in my very limited experience with long distance relationships.. i'd have to say it all depends on the individuals themselves... for the majority of people, it won't work out (if they try to be faithful about it) - but w/ people who have strong self control and actually "love" the person then it can work. but in time, usually, if you were with someone who was local who moved away and tried to keep it goin, thats always the hardest... a physical distance will create an emotional distance (w/ most).

long distance relationships do one of two things

1) make you like each other more

2) make you drift apart.

if its #1 stay with her, and it will all work out

if its #2 tell her, and you'll probably need to move closer together or break up.

stop picking up girls online and get one that lives close

Eh, long distance relationships are tough on both people. I'm not a fan of them, as I tend to develop "wandering-eye disease" when they aren't always around. It all depends on the people involved...

my fiancee and I did a long distance Canada - Italy relationship for three months and it was extremely difficult but it definately brought us closer together. :thumbsup

I think long distance relationships are great. Everything builds and then when you finally see that person it's like WOW. But then you leave again, and you have that feeling over and over again. It's like being in love for the first time or something that feels pretty damn near close to it.:)

i think 6 months minimum is a good time to realize that you may have somthing with the other person... I usually know if it's not going to work by then or if he's serious about me.... especailly long distance.

You may want to move to the same town before you actually move in with this person... feel out the waters first... But if you have something special then it will work regardless of the obsticles...
