I didn't see the changing my last trip, but saw it the trip before - very impressive!

We were there this past spring and walking through Hyde park and kept hearing siren after siren after siren. One of my fatalistic traveling companions decided a plane had crashed. I asked one of the policeman at the gate at Buckingham Palace and they were transporting football players around, lol. They said that they needed that much security.

My friend was a bit upset a plane hadn't crashed - he's like that ;)

:1orglaugh Its still the crappy old Buckingham Palace with the toy soldiers walking around with bears on their heads.

BTW my uncle was a queensguard and i always remember him saying when i was a kid the part he hated was guarding the tower of london as it was kinda spooky, also when my mom got married he was the best man and he was not allowed to sit down with his uniform on....

It's only done for the tourists, the UK's disney type show.

Part of a Gurkha regiment CAMOKAT - they are on the top of the list of serious fighting forces on the planet and served well over time.
