Is there any mobile phone or PDA that can connect to FTP?
 
mobile phone, PDA, the iphone, etc..

can any of these connect to a server via FTP and upload/downlaod files?

i should mention they upload files they dont connect via ftp.

but with php or asp you can build a simple wap file upload system to store your files

Yep. I wrote a browser gateway in 2003/2004 using HAWHAW for WAP/WML/WHTML/etc to transfer ringtones and pictures to various mobiles, with a silly little upload system for it. Nothing's quite as much fun as changing your ringtone on a daily basis to drive everyone around you nuts. :thumbsup

Almost any PocketPC/WinCE/WinMobile phones have FTP capable clients. Heck, the Nokia 770 can even run SSH.

A hacked iPhone w/ ncftp installed can. Can also ssh, scp, sftp etc.
