What's new with the Kings this year anyways? I never heard of them making any big pickups during off season.

No there was not any big pickups this year so far.. We have a 19 yr old rookie goalie so that should be interesting to watch how he does.. So far the team really seems to be in a "rebuilding" mode with alot of young guys that show some promise..

Joe will be there, he was up here in Vancouver for our home opener yesterday. San Jose is looking good this year.

I'm guessing this joe guy is a huge hockey fan?

HUGE is an understatement... He plays in a league that skates on the staples center ice and all kinds of fun stuff like that...

Yep.. Running with three goalies currently and he is not on the list... The kid (Bernier) tonight showed some promise... Made some nice saves but also let at least one soft goal go by.. The team as a whole kinda fell apart in the 3rd.. :mad:

might be a season or two until the new talents blossom but there is no doubt that kings got a very talented squad.. kudos for cleaning up the guys and bringing new players and letting veterans go.. not sure about Cloutier and they REALLY need to clean up the defensive play.. worst in PK last year and only 3 teams conceeded more in total.. ouch..

not a good sign to fall apart in the 3rd at home and conceeding 3-4 goals a game is just awful...

I agree... Another season or so and they should get things together if they stick on the present course... I'd personally really like to see them get at least one "star" in the time that can add the pop and excitement on the ice and lockerroom for the team and fans to rally behind..

Yeah coach crawford always tries to hold onto the toughest lead in hockey.. it's one of his trademark moves... I don't know why he doesn't just try to open the games up..
