If you owned Yes.com...

what would you do with it? Obviously it's an amazing domain name worth a shit load of money but what the hell do you do with a domain name like yes.com? And I'm not talking about selling it, I'm talking about developing it.

Yessssss

who 10-04-2007 01:11 AM

i'd turn it into a political website.

Pussy 10-04-2007 01:11 AM

jizz in the ears, not bad man! seriously though, I'm talking about a mainstream site (I guess I should have specified that).

Correct.

Oracle Porn 10-04-2007 01:17 AM

there is a cable company named Yes! in Israel they will pay you shitloads of money for it.

Vick! 10-04-2007 01:21 AM

I will lease it to some big company for $50k a month, with 10% annual increment. lol ..

Sit back and bank the royalty.

Pussy 10-04-2007 01:30 AM

Woah let me clarify that I don't own it! I'm just very interested to hear what people would do with it IF they did own it. Even a domain like "the.com" or "and.com", wtf do you do with that? They're obviously valuable as fuck, but not so clear as to how someone should go about developing them.

JuiceMonkey 10-04-2007 01:37 AM

they come from a time when music was actually good lol

StarkReality 10-04-2007 01:58 AM

Loads of ways I could imagine develope it: political, charity, financial, but as Oracle suggested, leasing it to a company and cashing without having to develope it yourself is a very nice option...no investment needed, no work needed.

Pussy 10-04-2007 02:51 AM

What if youtube.com, myspace.com, etc. were named yes.com instead. Do you think they would have blown up the same way they did or do you think they would have gained popularity faster/slower? With the name yes.com I could imagine ANYTHING on that website and it's easy as a motherfucker to remember the domain name. It's just hard for me to imagine something that makes total sense on that particular domain name because yes isn't a thing.

celebnudevideo 10-04-2007 05:46 AM

great entrepreuners steal... that is the best idea in the thread.

mistergardener 10-04-2007 07:04 AM

Perhaps a site for kids.

Zebra 10-04-2007 07:10 AM

The question is, do you own it? You said "IF".

Ross 10-04-2007 07:20 AM

Make it like moneysupermarket.com or something..

Somewhere you can search and get credit cards, loans, mortgages, anything and evrything.

Pussy 10-04-2007 09:05 PM

Again, I don't own it... I wish I did! I just wanna see what kinds of ideas people can come up with for a domain that isn't so clearly defined in terms of how to be developed.

ProducerCashDave 10-04-2007 09:10 PM

I'd sell it to the owner of no.com

Zebra 10-04-2007 09:16 PM

Maybe.com would be a good domain for a dating site lol

NinjaSteve 10-04-2007 09:20 PM

I would sell it. I know you said "And I'm not talking about selling it, I'm talking about developing it." but I'd sell it to Verizon.

fallenmuffin 10-04-2007 09:20 PM

political website.

CaptainHowdy 10-04-2007 09:25 PM

PunkRockXXX 10-04-2007 10:24 PM

turn it into a website dedicated to pro-abortion

Pornwolf 10-04-2007 10:51 PM

Financial/Loans/Mortgage.

People apply for loans, all they want to hear is Yes. It's easy to market with a domain like that.

That would fit perfectly for yes.com. I like the wedding ring idea too... would have to do more research which i'm not to make a solid choice...

As for and.com, I would sell And And And bars!

The secret ingredient is And.

Drake 10-04-2007 11:03 PM

escort service haha
