...and it once again sucks. I suspect I won't watch another one of the american version, I feel like a baby in a high chair getting spoonfed entertainment. The whole show just talks down to me so badly.

Mike is a fucking tool.

The US version is very watered down. He would have ripped Mike a new asshole in the original version.

CurrentlySober 10-03-2007 07:53 PM

is this season 4?
sorry if a silly question, but im in the uk at the moment... not the states

RawAlex 10-03-2007 08:07 PM

Not season 4, but rather an american version... the editing and production is all exactly like "Hells Kitchen", from the annoying announcer that sounds like he is talking very slowly so morons can understand him, to the over dramatic music.

Plonker! Twat!

twattttttttt lolllllllllllllllll that version us better than US versionnnnnnnn

RawAlex 10-03-2007 08:23 PM

The UK version is just Gordon. He does all the commentary, all the voice overs, all the cuts. It is really everything from his point of view. The US version is more like the announcer dude calling a sporting event or something. Ramsey's personality is almost entirely lost.

Plus the episodes so far have relied on a simple plot device that really sucks: "The villain". 3 for 3 in having one person singled out as the "bad guy" responsible for everything. The UK ones are great because they really looked more than the whole thing, understanding that the problem is never so unidimensional or so mind numbingly obvious.

I agree about the UK version being better. I feel like I'm being smacked in the head watching the US version

They've been taping next season's Hell's Kitchen and the wife and I are "dining" in the first episode.

It was a good show, that Ramsey cracks me up.

I wish they wouldn't give these restaurants gifts, like new kitchens and interiors, its like a game show.

sweetcuties 10-04-2007 04:35 AM

I saw it last night for the first time... great show, just like Hell's Kitchen :thumbsup

LadyMischief 10-04-2007 04:53 AM

That manager mike was TRIPPIN. He needed a foot up his ass. Gordon put him in his place tho, I love that man.

Madame0120 10-04-2007 06:23 AM

Great show! Sometimes hard to follow, cause of all the bleeping.
