Who already had his/her appendics removed?
What was the pain like before you realized that you gotta have it surgically removed? Was it anything like an ulcer? Can you describe the pain? How long did the symptoms start?
|
Yep had mine removed I remeber it was a sunday and i was looking forward to my sunday roast, I felt fine in the morning but by the afternoon I had a real bad stomach ache and it just got worse and worse, it got to the stage where even the thought of food made me feel like throwing up. It felt like I had an upset stomach at first and just got worse very quickly and by the next morning I was in hospital and had my appendics taken out....and i still did not get my sunday roast which really pissed me of

The pain is so bad that one would gladly have it removed on-the-spot with no pain killers! ...Yeah, it's that bad!
|
I still have mine but I know it's called the chandalier syndrom
you touch your stomach and you jump to the celing.... if that don't happen your fine prolly just a turn stuck at the colon because the colon is right next there as well... drink some milk of mag you will be fine.... |
I was feeling quite fine, talking to friends about what we were going to do the next day.... then I went to bed and the stomach pains started.
It got worse and worse as the night went on until finally at 6am, I just got out of bed and I couldn't stand up straight. I was a full on cripple. My mom raced me off to the hospital where they took some blood and urine, came back and said "the lady we're operating on now is being taken off the table, we'll get you in right now and get back to her." Sure enough, my appendix ruptured while on the table... flooded my system with toxins and I had to stay in the hospital for 5 days with an IV in me to flush out my system. Had they of waited at all, I probably would have died. Sometimes it happens just that fast. |
That's fucked up .. I gave my buddy across the street a ride ( his car was in the shop )to the hospital today with his 9 year old son because the kid was juts screaming in pain and said it was his side and stomach . ended up being his appendix . they are removed it about 2 hours ago. this kid was in Sirius pain ... i felt really bad for him.

I almost died. Mine ruptured (doctors say small leak). My body walled it off and formed an abscess saving my life.
I had walked around for a week thinking I pulled something working out. It was a sharp tugging feeling on the right side. Then one night the fever kicked in and the pain went from a 5 to a 10. I ended up in the hospital for a week. If you think you may have an issue go get it checked. I wouldn's mess around. |
hehe lost mine after a freaky ticket eating accident i had ...
yes i was drunk ;) |
i lost mine about 2 years ago and the pain was so bad i thought i would die... i waited almost an entire day before going to the hospital, i thought i just ate something wrong :(... The pain was very very bad....

Mine almost burst.. it felt like I was being stabbed.. you should see the doctor BEFORE that.
|
I had mine removed when I was in the 6th grade. All I could remember was that I collapsed in while after feeling a sudden pain in my stomach. When I woke up it was already removed.

I had mine removed last week. It was like a constant, dull pain in the bottom of my stomach. It felt like gas.By the time I was ready for surgery the pain was very very strong.I was curled up in to a ball in my bed the whole time.
It was 24 hours between the first symptoms and my surgery and I already had early signs of peritonitis (dunno if that´s what its called in english). That´s when the apendix bursts and spreads the infection. And that´s when you can die. Check this video out, it´s the same surgery I had: https://youtube.com/watch?v=0FuqMI2dKmo Only three small holes and in 2 days you are back home.A bit of pain for a week but that´s it. |
I was out surfing when I got what felt like a stomach cramp. I figured it would go away and kept surfing but it didn't and got worse. Went home in some pain and my Mom was like WTF!
She took me to the hospital and I had to have my appendix removed right then. Took five days in there to recover. While the pain was bad, I've had kidney stones that were MUCH more painful and I had a toothache once that had me writhing on the floor. |
Yes, asking for GFY-ers' medical opinions is probably the first thing you should do...
