Webcam site conversion explained *please read!
 

In my 4 years in livecam business I have seen many affiliates making the same mistake..

Try a webcam sponsor for 1 day see no conversion and be gone and never bother to check their stats at the cam sponsor ever again... (while actually later many sign ups show up)

The secret is that a webcam sponsor needs longer then "instant" for your traffic to convert.

Basically most VOD site's have the following traffic flow (i know there is different ways but this is the most common one)

freesite->gallery->tour pages->sign up

Voila instant conversion and a good ratio from the moment you start promoting.

The mistake allot of webmasters make is that their expectation of traffic flow on a camsite is exactly the same.. BIG MISTAKE! Where it goes wrong is tour pages.. Most cam sites(for example DollarPimp's Itchlive) have no tour page.. Itchlive.com actually provides the visitor the ability to go in a free chat and chat and cam with the girl for a while. Meaning that a visitor might actually keep this way of chatting up for days or sometimes even weeks. Until he is finally tired of 100's of people seeing his chat, getting less attention as guest, seeing her just with clothes on or any other of the many reasons to become a member and finally decided to sign up..

Voila there's your sign up.. So what this means is that visitor that signed up you actually might have send it many days ago.. No instant conversion but in the end it did convert.

As my advice to webmasters is that with a camsite be patient it works different then a normal tour page VOD site, and this patient might be rewared in the end. average VOD site charges $20 per month you can take your pps $35 or you take your 50% revshare and hope your member stays recurring for a long time, but basically your stuck with a pps or low monthly revshare.. While Webcam sites require more patient they can be much more rewarding.. There is not limit of the monthly recurring costs.. a webcam site is per minute pricing, there's members spending $1000's per day.. You might be the one having this member on your revshare.

I do really well with AWE and I've heard so many peeps bitching about them (livesexawards though not livejasmin) - so far 0.10 per click

revshare - only started playing with that recently, trying moneytree for now, so far so good

I'm just explaining my expirience here how some webmasters sometimes don't take the time with webcam sponsors as they are so used to the quick buck from VOD sponsors, but might actually be missing a whole lot of $ here.

And how revshare on camsites can actually be much more rewarding then PPS anywhere or revshare on VOD sites..
