Google's stock is not a money maker unless you have millions to invest.

I bought 600 shares at $94.00 each when I refinanced my house, I really wish I could have bought more. I will sell when I can cash out at around $500,000.

Huh?

How would splitting enable more people be able to afford to invest?

How is buying 10 shares of a $500 stock any different to buying 20 shares of a $250 stock?

You've confused me.

Ditto... it does have a slight updraft as it ends in the financial news and independent investors buy in a little.

The real money however is in the giant institutions sloshing about which is pretty immune to such trickery.

I see his point, once they split and the prices go back down to $250, everybody and their brother will be buying the stock and it'll soar back up again.
