Best Way to Utilize GFY?
 

So I've been poking around GFY for a few weeks now absorbing as much as I can and posting?well in moderation! After many viewed posts; some laughs were had and some friends were made. However after all of that all I?ve really come to find is the following:

1. People have a major issue with p1mpdogg! Why that is, I?m sure people have their reasons, but from what I see it seems that everybody is content with continuing to blow up his spot!!! Thus making it seem like, in one way or another, he?s done a great job getting his name out there!

2. The much anticipated 100k post from Juicy has come and gone with much ?celebration?. Congrats are in order by the way, considering the time it would take a ?human? to contribute that many thoughts if you will!

3. The market is saturated with tons of interesting, sexy, crazy-ass, amazing sites and everybody is finding a way to set themselves apart in some way!

To get to the point, I want to know the best way to utilize this fourm? From experience in other avenues, I fully understand that social networking is a great way to get you name out there, thus creating awareness for your site, program etc?

So is it as simple as that; get your name out there and service your ?clients??

I?d love to see some input on what works the best for each individual?..let the newbie posts begin!!!!

This would be the best way to get your post count up or be known as a "post whore".

I wouldn't waste my time doing shit like that.

I've spent 5 years on this board.

The first two, I used them to learn things. The next three, I basically wasted.

The best way to utilize GFY is to realize that there's nothing left here. Business is virtually nil, and if it isn't a drama thread, it's another repost from Yahoo news.

Nothing worthwhile happens here.

I believe GFY keeps me in the loop to some extent. There is some business networking here, but it seems to be decreasing a bit. Still, there are great people on this board.

That's very true...there are a few good ideas on here from time to time as well. I think for the most part GFY serves so give you a good idea of who is in the industry and what new trends are emerging.

GFY definitely helps noobs find contacts into all the programs out there for one.
As of late, much of GFY's threads, or at least the bigger ones, tend to be based on drama.

There is business to be found here, albeit, little as it may be nowadays, the more you get your name out there, the more people will know who you are, both in various companies, and webmasters that do stop by from time-to-time.

Also, being a smaller program with some killer HD content, you should be plugging that out there for the submitters that do come by the board looking for great content that will convert.

Call someone out on GFY.

for the most part I use it to be seen, search around for possible business opps. & mainly just seeing what else is out there, & keeping up with the latest gossip (good and bad lol).

I also use it to push new content deals for TCS etc.

thats basically it, oh and don't take the criticisms to heart, & same goes for the praise you may receive here aswell.

Mazuma Jason, if you are a owner/producer/reseller and you have an associate program; it is a good idea as to post on GFY... Now if you are a webmaster who is trying to promote adult content on this forum, then I would have to say it is a waste of time... I am not saying you will have no sales, however, the numbers game states that you need many thousands of uniques visitors as to get conversions at the level as to make it worth you time and effort... Just look at the post count and views... many here on GFY try to standout but fail to just buy traffic to their websites!... Count the time that it takes you to post and to answer from your post X 1000 and you see that the likely hood of you having your posts pay for your time is next to zero!

The people making the money is GFY for offering this service... by selling ad spots... if you think you know what your doing drop a few $$$ and get your banner posted on GFY... ( not intended to be a plug for GFY... )

Ignore approx. 90% - 95% of the posts regarding promotions and just use some common sense and you will be almost there... It is very common for people to be in the industry for 30 years and get much wrong when it comes to Internet promotions...

I really don't care if people do not like me, however, it does not make what I'm saying false!

The only thing I actually USE GFY for these days are for reference purposes. If I'm not sure who I'm dealing with, I'll type it in here and find out the person's history...filtering through all the bs attacks and bro hugging of course.
