A tip for people looking for programming help, etc.
It sucks to see everyone get ripped off / flaked on / lagged on & I've been working with outsourced development for some time so I figure I'd give you guys a nice little tip.
www.rentacoder.com This is by far the best outsourcing community I've used (i've used them all)... it might look a little "ghetto" but its simple, HUGE, and it works very well. Make sure and follow the #1 rule when working with outsourced developers: BE EXTREMELY SPECIFIC AND DETAILED WITH YOUR REQUIREMENTS! These guys don't really improvise nor are they really concerned with the direction of your application; they're only here to build what you ASK for. So, if your specs are vague you're going to get an end product you're not satisfied with & in the end, its really your fault. Remember, these folks aren't industry people nor do they understand the reasons behind your custom applications... Here are a couple of good things about this place: 1. Everything is done via escrow, funds aren't released until you accept / confirm what you have received is to your liking. THIS INCLUDES YOUR REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE / DEADLINE!!! If they are late 1 day you have the right to bail. 2. 10-20 bids on your project within about 24-48 hours from all over the globe. 3. you can require an NDA 4. some coders will even put up their OWN $ (expert guarantee) to secure your busienss.. if they don't deliver a final product on time you get to keep their $ 5. you can get help for anything here from data entry, programming, server administration, design, audio/video help, etc. anyway, sign up... check it out... its real simple to get started its not my site, theres no ref code.. just trying to help enjoy |
