Thoughts on xxx torrents and piracy
 

I am not defending torrents in any way, but I truly think the real problem lies within sites like megaupload and rapidshare. Those easy-to-use subscription sites NEED to go ASAP. Sites like sexyshare.net are really killing it for the industry too.

Torrents are generally for a more knowledgeable user that will always find a way to get free stuff anyways...

I do not produce content nor do I run a program but man it must be frustrating to see your content being handed out like that... while THEY make money.

P2P networks I don't think are a huge threat because it's flooded with garbage anyways, and incorrect file names.

This is depressing... there's got to be something someone can do... legal or not :mad:

Its impossible to get rid of them, one can go and 10 others will replace them.

I've been saying it for months now. Torrents aren't the adult industries main enemy, its the tube sites that make it easy for any n00b to bust a nut.

When you see sites like megarotic, or www.tv-links.co.uk

then you look at a torrent site, its night & day.......

So to reiterate, both bad....but the tube type sites, web 2.0 are going to have far more of an impact than any torrent site ever could.

It's disgusting... It doesn't affect me directly in any way, but it's totally depressing to see the direction the internet is taking :(

yep I agree with others in this thread. Torrent sites aren't a huge threat. The people that use them are seasoned internet surfers and know where to get their free porn. They aren't buying membership to anything anytime soon. The tube sites, on the other hand, can cause problems especially the ones that put up full length movies taken right from members areas of sites.
