ROFL...I'm sort of glad my Hanna is past all of that.

Her phases included Spice Girls, Brittney Spears, and Hillary Duff...I remember one Christmas, she was maybe 8, even after all the big presents from "santa" and everything else she opened, she opened her Brittney doll last...when that paper fell off and she saw it...she flipped out and jumped into my arms giving me a huge hug.

She'll be 16 in January :( Keep spending that money and TIME with her while she's still into all those little girly things...because you're gonna miss it when it's gone.

I only found out last week as she's coming to Toronto. She's some 14 or 15 year-old on Disney. From what I heard, same type of crap Hillary Duff did when she was younger.

If you don't have a 9-13 year old daughter, niece, etc. around, you've probably not heard of her...

She is billy ray cryus' daughter. beyond that i know nothing but damn i hate the things kids get obsessed with. its just big business. if only the kids would realize they just want their money.

You just hate them because you're not a kid ;-)

Didn't you have any childhood obsessions?

Of course it's big business...but so is porn...and look how many adults are obsessed with it...

hehe, I lucked into my parents being hippies and my mother not only buying Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath tapes, but my dad would brag when he'd get them first...hehe

Kids wouldn't be buying into big business unless parents were willing to shell out the cash...I don't mind it so much though as there are worse things they could be obsessed with...

lol, cool parents. it wasnt' so much that my parents were against the music as they were against me spending money on stuff i really didn't need. and yeah, there are worse things they could get into. if nothing else it will be something they can be made fun of for when they get a bit older, hehe.

Yeah, in 5-6 years, she'll complain "why did i ever listen to that stuff?" and then in 12-15 years, she'll be nostalgic and attend a comeback/re-union show of some type ;-)
