Who takes shit talking and "accusations" on GFY seriously?
 

Just wondering who takes all the shit on here seriously and who see's it as keyboard tough talk?

I'll be honest. While my intellect tells me "look who it's coming from", the (very few) times anything negative has been said about me or to me on GFY did get under my skin. I think that chat rooms and message boards as a speaking forum have made people more inclined to say things that they would not say to someone's face.

When someone "shit talks" you, it's not so much that you care what they say or think, but it is a personal attack. Same as if some stranger flips you the finger when you are driving. You don't even know the guy, but you still want to get out of the car and stick a tire iron up his ass and watch him die in agony as he slowly bleeds to death internally...right?

Well, I can see your point that even if you know that it doesn't mean shit, maybe they strike a nerve with some shit they might of said, but to be honest, most of the digs that people have hit me with aren't very hard.

More often then not, people say "School must be out", or something about me being young or something. Occasionally its something about American school systems being weak, it's a joke.

When someone really gets me with a good one though, it almost becomes a mission to get them back. Not out of anger or anything, but out of love for the game of shit talking.

I voted yes and it really doesn't matter to me who is the one slinging the shit. I don't do it and I expect the same respect.

If someone is having a legitimate issue that needs to be addressed and they missed all the places where it shows how to get in touch with me or my counter-part Alex, then I don't mind them taking it to a board where one of my affiliates is sure to see it and let me know (they are great people)

but if someone makes a post with the intention of defaming our company it gets jacked right up to a massive pain in the ass and it would need to get handled professionally, quickly and firmly.

False accusations... absolutely.

Along with your basic fucking around a lot of people are also conducting business here, some even value their reputation and prefer to uphold it. Therre are times when the words of some mouthy idiot can't and shouldn't be ignored.

It's all well and good to say "Ah it's just board BS" and let it go, and it's even easier to advise others to do the same when it isn't your rep or that of your company on the line. But sometimes libel is libel, and needs to be dealt with.

And quite frankly there are several assholes who have posted unfounded accusations without proof who need to be made an example of.

I don't know 95% of the names (or fake nicks) on GFY... so it's nothing but cheap talk at this point.
