Anybody here using Cognos? If so... what is the main goal?

Cognos as in the dashboard/reporting system? We had a customer that had a cognos team come in and deploy a reporting server, it interacted with their J.D Edwards/PeopleSoft servers. Its a great system for needing lots of financial information/reporting etc.

yes it is much more, and its a great tool from what they tell me about it.
