Baddog! It was great seeing you in Amsterdam, Dirty D and I are back and getting ready for the Caribbean cruise. I wish I remembered to get some of that dried tea from the Tibetan place. Oh well. Have fun the rest of the trip and tell Dodger to hang on to my phone!

I love train trips...last one I took was 2 days From Texas to Los Angeles, then 3 days from Los Angeles to Illinois back to Texas.

Saw some great scenery in a very relaxing atmosphere.

Back wen I was a kid we would take 2-3 train trips a year...I'm planning on a trip taking the family from L.A. to either Denver, or up north to Seattle...either way both trips cover some beautiful scenery. The from Grand Junction to Denver through the gorge is awesome, been through there a couple of times.

Well, I guess I should have taken it as a sign when the first train left 10 minutes early. That is never a good sign.

I am alive and well in Germany, being forced to drive around and find unsecured Internet access so I can retrieve mail.

I am in the village of Peheim, in northern Germany.

Had plenty of beers last night as my hosts threw a party in my honor since 2% of the village have stayed at my home over the last 20 years.

+3% of the village showed up since my guests now have families so they brought them to the party so I could meet them. Lots of beer, Jaeger and Ouzo.
