On a forum and adult billing was brought up.

Here's my conclusion:

Many of them will never sign up for an adult site because they think their cc statement will show the url of the adult site.

Im trying to explain about ccbill and stuff but they just don't seem to get it. They think that every site has their own billing and basically will get all their cc info and the site will show up on the statement.

Someone mentioned he had no problems signing up for non adult sites though. I explained that CCbill can also process for non adult sites and it would be exactly the same. I doubt he will understand it.

So here's a free tip:

On your join page add a line which mentions the site URL will NOT show up on their cc statement.

people should also be made more aware of the fact that they can go to any safeway grocery store and buy a disposable Visa card with $25 or $50 on it and can enter whatever fake name info on it they want. quick and easy

can they indeed? does such card act like normal ViSa Credit card which you can use online, not just a prepaid card?

I mean, if someone buys a pre-loaded card for $25 and then joins an adult site with it, then there's no way that he will rebill :helpme

yes, works great online, in fact it even says right on the label that it is great for online or any purchases

you can buy them at any safeway (and cheque cashing places sell them too) and they charge like $4 extra when you buy them ie. a $25 preloaded disposable visa card costs you $29 or a $100 disposable visa costs you $105

when you get it you go online to the card's website and enter any name and zip you want to (can be totally fake) as that is the name and zip you will enter when you make a purchase online.... they work awesome

spouses never have to worry about who sees a statement, completely anonymous, you can grab one when you are buying groceries...

I was looking into this pre-paid Visa stuff the other day..I think the company is called Greendot...and they are at Walgreens.

This would be for funding online gambling accounts.

Anyway, at the Walgreens I was at the other day, you paid for it, then had to go online and fill out a form and they would then send you the card..which would require a real name and address.

Also there were possibly some other hidden fees after the activation fee...like a certain % would be charged each month to keep that card activated.

Yes I agre explain to them in bold very clearly what the Credit Card Statement will say. Not enough sites say it or make it VERY DAMN CLEAR to the user.

Oh and Please Please Please do not encourage surfers to go buy prepaid cards. Think for one second. Those cards will not rebill. Often the buyer will also get pissed off if they get a hold put on their card, then some site owners specially PPS would get pissed of if some surfer signed up to their 3 day trial site and a few other trial cross sales for a total of say 5.00 and then instead of the 150.00 everyone was expecting they get FUCKED!

So all of you affiliates who do not want to end up shitcanned for what program owners may see as fraud (PPS) or tossed to revshare only, or worse already selling revshare and want to see rebills. DO NOT PROMOTE THIS CARDS AS AN OPTION!

If affiliates start to promote the usage of those you can more than likely kiss your job good by no matter how much traffic you may have. It would be tainted non rebilling and sucky cross selling traffic. Hell it would even be useless on webcam sites. Not to mention minors can and do get those cards.

That is because that is a reloadable visa (also available at AAA, yes the auto insurance place). A prepaid throw away visa can be purchased for 20.00 50.00 75.00 100.00 etc up to like 250.00 with no mailing crap in etc. Available at many supermarkets and convience stores.
