i'm looking for something that scans the entire blog (page, post, category) for words used... not necessary tags... |

you want a full on "words on this page" cloud? |
I was thinking that clouds are one thing that google's algorithm should recognize as a spam/seo manipulation tool and actually penalize for when found. Am I missing something as far as the usefulness of having a cloud on a page?

the cloud dosnt have to be bad links... I use it on one blog as a simple search function... you can assign the tags to link to numerous different places or do nearly any function... i guess... if someone did something tricky, maybe google shouldnt like it... but, a basic cloud is probably googles friend... im sure there are a ton of clouds out there that gloom up peoples sunshine with google |

i guess that if i don't find anything else i'll go with the UTW cloud... |
My thoughts on it were that google is supposed to be about content and real user-readable content, not tricks like irrelevant headlines put in a 'cloud' type format.... I am not saying that google doesn't like it now, but it seems to me that it would be something that google might look at as being a spamming type tool... I'm only guessing though.
I'm curious about your idea of using it as a search function on your site.... do you find it a better tool for your users than a straight list? |
The new Wp 2.3 has cloud tags but beware before updating.
Lot of older themes won't work properly with this new version. Warrior tag, seo title and many other plug ins are not compatible with this version. I found out the hard way when I updated my highest trafficked blog yesterday, so Backup and turn off plug ins before upgrading. |
