haha. I just figure the TSA's I always see are depressed and look like they want to kill themselves so I wonder what one must make to stand in front of x-ray machines 8 hours a day.

Why don't you become a cop? At least you get to drive around. I couldn't imagine standing around and going through everyone's crap especially knowing that it's such a ridiculous system.

Good luck though! :-)

"Starting salary for an entry level TSA screener ranges from $23,400 to $35,000 per year. TSA salary for a screening manager ranges from $44,000 to $68,000 per year. Getting an associates degree in Criminal Justice or Homeland Security will help set you apart from other candidates when being considered for TSA jobs in management or other high level TSA positions."

Honestly country is upside down.

They may do a test on hire with piss and make you sign for random that they never do. From there the union keeps it a null issue. Just like nursing.

Yet everyone must test the people using deep fryers.

What a horrible career choice...

Squishy 09-27-2007 11:33 PM

Yes this is the "best job", as the asbestos workers...
Good payed, but does money really worth the losted health (simply someone must make it)?

iSMOKE 10-03-2007 02:34 PM

Actually they dont let you stand and check baggage for 8hrs...you're vision can get kinda fucked and you could possibly miss things...from what they've said its 4hrs at a time. For those who said it was a shitty job, what makes it so bad?
