What phone did you buy after you threw your iPhone against the wall???
I hate this thing, I hate texting on it. It's a stupid show off phone.

Is the blackberry still the best phone to text and check email?

I love having an actual keyboard on my Blackjack & Blackberry. That iphone is not me at all...

It takes great pictures, the voice mail feature is awesome, the stocks and weather are awesome..

But dam that key board FUCKEN SUCKS!!!

ya know what the only thing that sucks is that you can't send picture messages to other phones.

They put everything but the kitchen sink in it, you can't do videos, forward texts, send pictures. All the stuff Mac is known for.

No hacks out there to change that?

I like my Motorola Q. Downloaded a little app that lets me watch all Youtube videos, not just the m.youtube.com ones

That's cool, but something about watching videos on my phone. I spend enough time online for that.

Yea, there's a hack to disable the auto-correct option on your iphone.

Yea, I don't sit around watching videos per se, but it's nice if I'm out and want to show someone a clip I uploaded. Like recently I had a film editor give me some of his short films to put onto YouTube for him, and we met up for drinks and I just brought up the movies on my phone to show him how they ended up.

Also Google Maps saved my ass a couple of times.

The 8300 is a good phone! I always like Blackberry's but always switch I now have the t-mobile Dash which is a good phone without all the bells and whistles! :2 cents:

My girl has the new Treo 755p and it's fixed all the annoying like things I don't like about my 700.

If your on AT&T, wait until the 4th and get the 8310 Blackberry, Then you'll have a GREAT device. Or if your on Tmobile, get the new 8320 that has WiFi built in.

And yes the Blackberry will NEVER be beat when it comes to a stable device that does text and e-mail.

The iPhone will make you a better iPhone typist if you ask it to. It made me a Cuban Sandwich last week.

Dave ...have patience..Just like all Apple Products..it will only get better and since it all updates through Itunes you wont have to buy a new phone for the new features (except for 3G :disgust) All dislikes will get fixed...I guarantee:thumbsup

A little tip.....just type away...the app on the iphone has a thinking dictionary that corrects everything and adds commonly used words. I used to have the same troubles as you...then I started just typing and not proof-reading until after, you have to correct some wrong or misspelled words with the "spot glass" but all in all its minimal.

I'm moving over to AT&T this weekend and am moving to the 8820. A store around me said they will give me one of them early.

But I used to type so fricken fast, not I do and not proof it and it spells out something totally different then what i am writing, I've even reset the dictionary a few times.

I have the Moto E6 and the BB 8320 love them both. E6 is easy to hack and small with a touch screen. The 8320 blackberry is awesome also, lighter and has the Wifi.

yo Dave, give it a lil time bro. The keyboard is very clever. It learns you and learns from your mistakes. So the more you use it, the easier it gets. Not only do you get a hang of it, it gets a hang of you.

Spend some time with it and give us an update if you could of how you like it then :)

I have the 8300 curve, and using an MS exchange e-mail account. The combo makes business life a hell of a lot more efficient/effective.

If anyone wants to get rid of their iPhone for a little less than retail ICQ me. I just don't want to pay full price since I have to unlock it and I'm concerned about it being bricked later.

like its already been said, keep your iphone it will get better. and of course the more you use it the faster you'll get with the keyboard, and at some point in a software update they'll likely update the dictionary to be more accurate and let you type your sms on the horizontal keyboard using thumbs which is much better.

my iphone gets here on the 1st .. i look forward to replacing my aged treo650 .. have semi-fat fingers so this should be a fun learning experience

They might come up with the fancy phones, but for a real smart phone, try the Palm Treo. Its got all the bells and sends pictures too, and it has great support.

I think the Iphone is a bug..

My Frustration was I got so used to the 650, going from something you get so used to, to something that is new and doesn't have a keyboard.

It takes some time, but you'll be back in here and say, Damn you were right. :1orglaugh
