Is it unwise to have a domain with a person's name in it?

For example, say you had a domain that was britneyspearsgettingnekkid.com

could you ever have any legal grief over using her name in a domain?

how about if you hosted other naked models on the site, could she sue you on loss of reputation due to association?


is it best to steer clear of using other people's names in a domain for projects?

I've never heard of an issue with my, or any other site out there. But I also do not peddle naked celebs, their tapes, and so on.

say for example you register mariasharapova.info and then put a russian girl themed porn site on it....

could maria sharapova sue you for using her name in a domain like that?... or is it fair game and first come first registered?

I see what you are getting at. I've seen similar sites out there over the years. Never heard of grief, but me personally would never take that risk.
