Where's the best place to go Fishing?

Anyone have any good spots they can recommend?

Depends on what you're looking to catch.

I really don't care to catch anything tell you the truth, but I want to take some friends out on a nice trip. Maybe some sword fish or something. Bring it back and bbq it.

Maybe Cabo?

Cabo or Lapaz for billfish, dorado & roosterfish.

laguna beach off the rocks, never been on a charter boat ;/

Cabo I'm not too sure about, but there is good fishing out of Cancun (tho now is probably a bad time there cuz of the hurricane that hit recently), or even going out of Veracruz

Walker River - Eastern Sierra Nevada.

But that's for real fishermen - FLY FISHERMEN.

aico 09-26-2007 10:17 PM

Not sure about fish, but I know it's easy to catch crabs in Mexico.

After Shock Media 09-26-2007 10:19 PM

Sacramento River area of Northern CA, and or anywhere near up up by Shasta.

Grew up Stealhead fishing up there - I'll have to agree. Anderson River near Shasta should be kicking ass for Stealhead (A large trout that has been to the ocean) right about now. Thanks for the reminder - I think I'll call my brothers and hook up a trip. :pimp

If you like trout, locate medicine lake. Same area just more of a drive.

Fishers in northern Thailand netted this huge catfish in the Mekong River on May 1. Nearly nine feet long (2.7 meters) and as big as a grizzly bear, the behemoth tipped the scales at 646 pounds (293 kilograms). Experts say the fish, which belongs to the species known as the Mekong giant catfish, may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded.
