working in public while on the road

taking for granted the nature of the images we work with and have on our screens as we work it's easy to forget that those in the public could have a big problem with it say at a coffee shop on the laptop or something... always have to find a spot to sit where the screen is not visible by passerbys, but when you set up for privacy it sometimes draws unwanted curiousity as well

sometimes it's hard to get any work done

the filters are nice but another good option is a wireless air card. I have had mine for about 2 years now and it works almost anywhere, even driving down the road. They have nice routers for them now also.

I like that... might well get one !

I was sitting in Starbucks one day processing some images when this guy walked over and asked me if he could "borrow my computer to look at something online for a sec" and he was already trying to peek over at my screen. Of course I said "no", but I had to shift things around really quick so he didn't see anything. What a jackass. WHO DOES THAT?

At Starbucks, I sit with my back against a wall.

Yes. BUT you always have the option.. if you can afford to just get a small office as a workplace then that i think would be best. :winkwink:

But he is saying on the road ...

Yes it is hard and you always need to find a nice corner to work from.

Same with Panera bread. Whenever I work there I have to find a dark corner so no kids see my screen. Fuck adults, I try to stay hidden from them, but if they see my screen it's not as big of a deal.

I hate people who peak at what you're doing..
