Biz thread: What would you have done sooner?
 

I had an interesting thought this morning:

Knowing what you know now about your sites and the industry and such, what would you have done sooner in the game than you did? Did it take you forever to start a niche site? Or a blog? Or get into building galleries? Were you spinning your wheels somewhere else?

I know I should have got into the blog game a lot quicker than I did. Now I feel like I'm playing catch-up! I just need to put in that request to the entity upstairs for more hours in the day! :)

I would have bought elli-nude.com and held it hostage!! And a few others. At one point I owned a bunch of Melissa Midwest misspellings but let them lapse.

I would have bought more lots in my town, I was lucky enough to get 6 on a deal with a friend. They were 3K and now they sell for 50K all day long. Could be worse though, think about the people that sold them for 3K and two years later they are 50 LOL, if you mean porn which you do I would have bought a few domains that were all here and now they want an arm and a leg for them,

Started earlier.

Id start when I was 15 in 1995 and reg LOOOOOOTS of kick ass domains! Done nothing until today, and sell them lol!

realizing that you don't actually have to surf porn only but you can earn something from that way back in 2001, when I was at the college with 8MBps connection and had time I could dedicate to it... Well at least I dedicated it to real life, which wasn't that bad too.

I would have put all my money into 1 word dictionary generic domains.

Wow, sounds like a great deal on the realestate! Lots for $3k? Jeez, that would get you about a square foot here ;)
