not to bad, it does take some time 6 hours for everything we had the tv, phone and broadband put in, really only experienced about an hour of downtime internet wise, they setup up everything then disconnected cablevisions line, so the downtime was when they were checking the connection and making sure everything was working.
they spent most of the time outside on the pole running the new line and setting up the box on the side of the house.
if you can get it in your area i'd definitely get it, well worth it
