Mainstream Sales Software?

Does anyone have any experience in mainstream sales software?

I am looking to a good program to manages leads and potential customers, provide follow up emails/phone call reminders for potential and old customers, track sales, etc etc

I saw prophet at http://www.avidian.com/ and it looks pretty cool. Anyone have experience with something similar?

a great feature would be an overall client tracker that could be shared between all the sales reps so they dont go after another persons client unknowingly

The mainstream standard is ACT!, but it's really shit and slow, now. Your best bet would be to try to find an old ACT 2003 or pre-SQL-embedded copy.

I dont agree with you. Their are many other options. ACT Is still used but I doubt from my knowledge that its mainstream anymore.

Here are some options

You can use SugarCRM paid edition or you can also try the Open Source Version.

You can also try kayako.com they have a nice system.

And you might want to look at Salesforce.com, I would say they are the largest on the net and have the most relationships. The only thing bad I can say about this is the cost is high.
