What type of worker are you?

Would you rather work really hard for a month and then be able to sit back and do barely anything for another two months or have really light work to do everyday for three months?

GhengisBong 09-25-2007 03:35 AM

1st one:thumbsup and the 2nd one too:thumbsup

Jace 09-25-2007 03:37 AM

work hard for a month and then sit back and relax

but most of the shit I do is for long term benefit, so even though I only work for a month or whatever it still pays off for years

Czech 09-25-2007 03:44 AM

Work hard every month and have a short holiday once a year.

Sarah_Jayne 09-25-2007 06:00 AM

are you most productive when you are pushing yourself to do the shorter but intensive bursts of work or when you pace it out like in the second example?

mistergardener 09-25-2007 07:09 AM

I'm a natural born workaholic.

Spudman 09-25-2007 07:22 AM

work hard all the time :)

Scott McD 09-25-2007 07:27 AM

Work hard for a month i guess.

Although i like working a little each day aswell sometimes...

tomeatsdinner 09-25-2007 07:28 AM

Work hard and try to rest once a week..

StuartD 09-25-2007 07:29 AM

If I work hard and then sit on my ass for a while.... I find it VERY hard to get back to the work after.

tranza 09-25-2007 07:34 AM

Hard work every day.

15 days a year of vacation.

Until I reach $20M on my bank account.

:2 cents:

PointerAdv_Lindsay 09-25-2007 07:39 AM

I wish I could work really hard and then take a nice lil vaca... Never seems to happen though. I have severe OCD and I love my work. Dangerous combination. I never stop and I am always at the computer. I manage to take maybe one or two small weekend trips a year (outside adult related shows). :)

Ross 09-25-2007 07:48 AM

Work really hard for the 3 months and then every month after. You can enjoy it when you retire.

I like to work.

There's always more money to be made / work to be done. Unfortunatly for me I'm the kind of worker who has trouble turning it off.

TG Rebecca 09-25-2007 08:08 AM

i used to be the type that would want to work hard as much as possible, long hours, no days off, and then sit back and enjoy the paycheck for a few days. :)

unfortunately now i have developed a health condition that makes it hard to work as many days in a row and longer hours per day. :(

Angie77 09-25-2007 08:12 AM

The first one.

Klen 09-25-2007 08:13 AM

I would rather work hard for one month and then later pick fruits of my hard work.

GAMEFINEST 09-25-2007 08:34 AM

I work hard all the time, if i dont i become lazy

JamesK 09-25-2007 08:37 AM

I'd love to work all day long, every day, but I run out of inspiration so I have to relax 50% of my time.

I am not a worker, I am planner. Seriously, work is beyond me.

agree... lol! I work all the time, but I sometimes like to think that I dont HAVE to work!

candyflip 09-25-2007 09:09 AM

I just got back from Vacation. It was really tough to not do some work each day. I logged in here once or twice, ran my AutoBlogger and wrote a few blog posts. That's a record for me. I NEED to keep working everyday...so I'm in the work lightly everyday group.

Sarah_Jayne 09-25-2007 09:22 AM

I like to think that I am the type that works really hard for a short period and then doesn't have to do much for longer periods. However, in reality it is more that I work really hard on one project so I don't have to deal with it for a while only so I can then work really hard on the next project.

ServerGenius 09-25-2007 09:24 AM

don't work harder, work smarter :2 cents:

calibra 09-25-2007 09:48 AM

Work hard for a month and then fuck around :thumbsup

D 09-25-2007 10:00 AM

Work hard... but doing different things... multiple things, even.

I can't stand monotony.

Spend at least 10% of my standard week relaxing - outside the standard 7-8 hours of sleep a night.. That's key to health, imho.

Take a week or two off every year or two... maybe step away for a month or two every 10 years to do something else... gotta enjoy life while you're living it, too.

But, aside from that, save up for when my body's not as strong, I'm older, and want to focus on other things before I move on.

sniperwolf 09-25-2007 10:13 AM

have really light work to do everyday for three months.. *SIGH* if only that's easy... :winkwink:

but i need to work hard 6x a week! :(

Spunky 09-25-2007 10:19 AM

I have to work hard everyday, too bad the body can't take it

V_RocKs 09-25-2007 10:51 AM

I do hard work for 2 or 3 weeks and then light work for 2 or 3 more....

In the beginning I did hard work for 2 or 3 months and then took a month off where I just did upkeep...

When ever I do hard work for 2 or 3 months at a time my pay scale doubles... So I should be doing it hard for 2 years... I would easily be a millionaire right now.

But I am also enjoying taking my kids to do things I only dreamed of... Helicopter rides, etc...

I work hard day by day and I have only few free days / year

AGS-17 09-26-2007 05:49 AM

I'm working hard. and you will have good rest, believe me ;)

nAtuRaLbEautY 09-26-2007 08:05 AM

i used to work hard from the very first time i've been in the company. i want my bosses to be satisfied with my work and to prove that they are not wrong to hired me as one of their employee.

Madame0120 09-26-2007 08:39 AM

I work from the moment I jump out of bed, till Roy tucks me into bed. I don't think I know any other way. If you give me a project w/ a deadline, I will work it, single-minded till it's done.

However, this biz isn't really all that deadline focused.

Pretty much the same way and I am lucky to have somebody else in the house that will actually say 'go to bed' or I would probably work for days at a time with little sleep.
