Gosh that's sexy........I've got to get me one of those, I have a pile of 4GB DVDs with a bunch of stuff that I'd like to dump in a couple of those babies.....

It is hot!

I have a 500 gig just like it and a couple of the older model 300 gigs and never had any issues with any of em... They work great for archiving video and image files...

Too bad it can't be powered from a USB port

very sweet looking... I'm about to get another external myself but really need it to be something I can plug into the LAN as opposed to a computer.

Careful with those.

I got 2 of them, they get real hot, real fast, and I'm not crazy about the "removable" USB & firewire connector thingy on the bottom (you'll see what I mean when you get it)

Just make sure you got plenty of air circulation around the drive to keep it cool.

we have 7 of them and they get very hot, as soon as I finish moving all the videos off of them I am selling them on ebay,mine are all 320 though, never had problems but the heat did worry me some. I bought new ones with built in fans

never owned an external before, i have 5 of the 750 gig seagate internals tho on this machine
