Statement from Mayor Rudy Giuliani

New York City - Mayor Rudy Giuliani released the following statement to be read at the National Rally To End The Threat Now being held today at noon:

"I have always been proud to stand with the Conference of Presidents and speak out against terrorists and their supporters. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an enemy of America, Israel, and the entire free world. We should never remain silent when evil makes an appearance.

"We will not allow a nuclear Iran. Period. We will work with our allies and use every tool at our disposal to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power. That is not a threat. It's a promise. Iran is the leading state-sponsor of terrorism, the host of Bin Laden's son and other top al-Qaeda leaders, and the supplier of weapons being used to kill American soldiers in Iraq. His promises to destroy America and Israel should not, can not, and will not be ignored.

"It is a sad reflection on the United Nations that the General Assembly and Human Rights Council have ignored these actions and instead focused attention on demonizing the State of Israel.

"You are standing here today to tell the world that Ahmadinejad's threats and actions have not gone unnoticed by all. I am proud to stand with you."

Why shouldn't Iran be able to have nuclear power if they want? We have it so we must be terrorist according to this crap. That is a stupid double standard.

No one outside of New York and people he had fucked over while he was mayor had heard of him until 9-11. And had Bush and Cheney done their fucking jobs that they were selected to do, instead of cowering away in a bunker or flying around burning the taxpayer's dollars in Air Force One, the only thing we would have known about Rudy was they he stood behind the president while he made his dumb, stuttering speeches at ground zero.

The only reason Rudy is so well known today is because for those few days and hours, he was the closest thing this country had to a president. He was there, behind the microphone, talking. Bush, instead of doing anything worthwhile, sat in a classroom reading a book to a bunch of kids upside down. God, what an embarrassment he was to this country at that moment and it was all downhill from there.

Imagine that if you had a dog that you dearly loved and while you were entertaining foreign royals from another country, the dog came into the room and shit all over the buffet table in front of everyone, completely ruining the evening. What would you do? Of course, after the mess was cleaned up, you'd have the dog put down at the next opportunity. Thats what the GOP should have done with Bush and Dick. Put them - and us - out of misery. But no one here has any guts, not enough sense to do the right thing.

I will admit I don't know much about him other than the 911 stuff and a few other things. Is he an anti-porn crusader? I know that no candidate is pro-porn, but is he another one of the fanatics that wants us to burn and die?

The main thing is that our country isn't filled with extremists who want nothing more than to destroy entire countries and races of people. We have some of those types of people, but our religious nuts are cowards and 99.9% of talk a good game, but never act on it. Iran has a lot of fanatics that would strap a nuke to their body and detonate it in downtown new york or tele viv.

Ron Paul may not be for porn but he will not outlaw it or make laws against it. I support Ron Paul because of what he stands for. He is the only person running that you can look at his voting record and see he stand for liberty, the constitution, and the bill of rights.

You get this information from where? There is no proof of this in any way. There are extremists in every city, state, or country.

The government wants you to believe that so they can attack Iran and most of the people will say ok they are evil or terrorist.

I get this information from the news. When was the last time some religious whack job from Alabama walked into a gay club with bomb strapped to his chest and exploded it? When was the last time we heard of someone from the Christian right killing their neighbors because they didn't share the same religious beliefs? Yes there are extremists everywhere. To me the difference is that in the middle east there are far more of them and they are far more radical than here in the US.

Also the governments of those countries are so corrupt that getting access to the nukes might be easy for the right people. I'm not saying that the government here isn't corrupt, I know it is. But we are pretty hardcore about protecting our nukes, and I'm not so sure they would be that way.

Also, last I checked our president didn't give a public speech saying that an entire country (Israel) and an entire people (Jews) needed to wiped off the planet.

I understand that our government may be trying to set the table to either continue their war in Iraq or start a war in Iran and they are telling us stuff to back up these claims. There are good things in Iran. For example Iran's population has the largest percentage of under 30 year olds of any country in the world. Many of these people are getting educated and are more forward thinking than the old guard. These are the people that will be running that country in the coming years and have a more modern country would help them to take it in a better direction. That said, all we need is for one nuke to get loose and end up being exploded in a major city and all hell will break loose in that part of the world

I have no problem with them having nuclear power and I understand they are years away from having any type of nuclear weapon. I guess I just don't see what the big deal is with them allowing UN inspectors in to make sure they are not making nuclear weapons and that they are properly protecting their nuclear program so that they can have their nuclear power

He never actually said he wanted to wipe them out. You can not find the actual quote of him saying that because he didn't. He did say he would attack Israel if they attacked them first.
