Are austrian bank accounts still offshore?
 

Can Austrian personal or cooperate bank accounts still be considered as offshore bank accounts?

i am hearing that Austria has similar bank secrecy laws as Switzerland but I'm not sure if any special treaties between the US and Austria exist

personally, I tried to open a personal bank account earlier this year at the biggest Austrain bank (I think) which has a special department for international clients, but they declined me cause they didn't like or understand the internet income.... although it wasn't even adult
