Just bought Euros... fucking US dollar!

Friday I picked up $3000 Euros from the bank I had ordered for my trip to Germany and the Netherlands... couldn't believe how far the dollar had fallen, those 3000 euros cost me $4400 !!!

I hope the dollar gets some strength before my trip next month... Fucking Bush, he has to be the anti-christ...

peterk 09-24-2007 12:41 AM

yep, this is the way it is now

PornMogul 09-24-2007 12:44 AM

The dollar is pathetic right now but itll pickup

venus 09-24-2007 12:52 AM

yup, as sooon as the anti-christ is out of office.

He has allowed and encouraged american jobs to go overseas, then tried to keep the economy afloat untill he leaves office by decreasing the value of the dollar, allowing or making it easier for all the sub-prime lending, and giving so many contracts to companies in iraq...

you want to see some shit.... wait untill the next president takes over and we bring home the US troops... all those national guard troops need their jobs back, those contractors will need jobs... Its going to get real shitty for awhile... I know some of you remember 2001 when all those jobs left and signups went way way way down....

The next President won't bring the troops home so don't get your hopes up !

The President doesn't control the dollar !

The President doesn't control sub-prime lending !

The dollar fell under Clinton and he tried his best to stop the slide and he couldn't so what would make Bush able to stop it ?

There's only a few thousand National Guard troops in Iraq from a few states
so that wouldn't have much effect on sign ups.

The contractors in Iraq have been a fact in the middle east since the first Iraq war in 1991 when the Saudi's hired Blackwater to provide security for their ruling family and oil workers and their families.

They also provide security for most of the other countries in the middle east because they can't trust their own people the same as we can't trust other prople to protect americans in Iraq !

the president controls or has strong influence over more things then most people realize. Take illegal immigration.... he has no control over how many people enter the country from mexico, but he does have control over enforcement and speeches that encourage mexicans to cross the border in hopes of getting to stay. Indirect control can be as strong as direct control.

more then a few thousand national guard are overseas, between afghanistan and iraq. More then 12,000 are headed to iraq in december

contractors have been there yes, but not in the numbers they are now.

The DSS is suppose to be protecting american officals overseas, but Bush is outsourcing that also to private companies.

Doesn't the US want the dollar to be weak? They won't admit it but doesn't it mean more sales for the US?

venus 09-24-2007 01:28 PM

In theory, that should be an advantage, but in practice, there is little to export.

There has been minor increases in car sales blah, but nothing near the league of the deficit caused by the weak dollar trying to buy imports.

This is more than just a weak dollar syndrome - it's more heading towards a financial downwards spiral and never just happened recently - it has been heading that way for decades.
