Do you think if someone has fake nicks that they should just be banned outright.

I'm still trying to figure out what the big deal is about fake nicks.

Oftentimes they're pretty funny... if they aren't, it's usually somebody with some chip on their shoulder, and if that's the case who really cares? Their life is obviously so pathetic that they have to create a second identity to post on a message board. I mean come on... really... that is just sad. By killing their fake account, they may just kill themselves. Who wants that over their head?

If the fake nick is used to just fuck around on the board and stir up trouble then yes. I actually have two accounts on GFY because I forgot I created one previously, so I do post with either one, but I think alot of people can really figure out which ones are mine - I have nothing to hide because I don't cause any stirups with either one. It's not like I have two nicknames to do anything bad on GFY, I just forgot I had one previously. And I actually go by either nicks on other message boards also.

-If I could get the post count from one merged to the other one and get one account deleted that would be awesome though, but I just never bothered talking to the admins of the board to even inquire about it.

But other people use these fake nicks once they've scamed people or been caught lying, and then miraculously re-invent themselves with a new (fake) nick.

Like boldy was caught by many people last year in a big lie. And now he's got a new nick fuckinghungry or something and is a "new" person.. well not really. Actually he's the same POS liar he was last year. Only now he's trying to push crap links on newbs. IMO It's really not right for these repeat failures to have so many 'clean' shots at this community.

Depends on how they use it.. If they are just having fun hell no let them keep them.

Fake nicks for entertainment should be fine. Fake nicks for anything malicious shouldn't be.

Some of the fake nicks are more entertaining than the real ones.
