How Much Did You Pay For Ur Wifes Ring?

Make me proud ..

D 09-21-2007 10:06 AM

I'm about to spend a couple of grand.

Thank God I'm with a woman who's opposed to Diamonds... can actually buy her a ring that retains its value after the purchase date.

OY 09-21-2007 10:09 AM

When I asked my wife to marry her I was not really wealthy to say it mildly (many many years ago;-)) and I spent a whopping $300 on a ring with a tiny tiny diamond.

Good thing for me, I guess, is that my now wife still LOVE the ring and will not for the life of it change it out with a more blingy one.

GAMEFINEST 09-21-2007 10:21 AM

bling bling ..

peterk 09-21-2007 10:25 AM

I haven't bought it yet :)

High quality diamonds do not lose value either. It is the impure ones that fade and crack and get discolored do to the impurities in the diamond.

tranza 09-21-2007 10:29 AM

I'm not married anymore.....

I'm not sure exactly but it was around 3k. You shouldn't really think in terms of what it costs though. I thought it was a nice ring that wasn't too gawdy that's why I bought it.

The Truth Hurts 09-21-2007 12:51 PM

$189 with her grandmothers tuesday senior discount.

Sosa 09-21-2007 01:13 PM

Mine is just like that pretty much expect 1 ct for the big one, and then a shitload of others, with more on the matching band.

yea my wife has that thin matching band aswell.. diamonds half way around the ring, they both go on teh same finger i guess to hold the other one in place cause its top heavy or something i dunno exactly the point of the little band that matches entirely

BV 09-21-2007 02:52 PM

For my x fiance I spent 9k for a 1.5 carat diamond and another 500 or so for the ring/ setting part. The diamond is near colorless with zero inclusions what so ever that you can see with naked eye and 1 small minute one that is very very very hard to see under magnification. This diamond will hold it's value easily forever.

It better because I took the bitch back from her!

Women are so fucked in the head and so very ungrateful sometimes!

PS: If there are any grateful chics reading this thread hit me up! :winkwink:

Must be hot, like to fuck, suck cock (mine) and not give me any of that insecure jealous bull shit when I have to do my work and shoot models.

Spinners and chicks with nice fat cameltoes encouraged to apply! :upsidedow

I had always understood that diamonds were way inflated, and that if you buy one, and turn around and sell it back to a jeweler the next day, you'd be lucky to see 20% of the money that you paid for it.

Maybe that's not the case with higher-end diamonds... I'll be sure check it out when I have more time. Thanks for that.

But even so... you still have to work around all the political/blood-money crap dealing with the things... and I'm relatively sure there's no such thing as a guaranteed "blood free" diamond... just another marketing ploy for the traders and sellers to find a way to work around.

I'd just rather do what was traditional before Da Beers came along, and buy my lady a nice Emerald ring. More traditional than the diamond, generally more inexpensive, works as an investment piece, and guilt free.

GAMEFINEST 09-21-2007 03:37 PM

alot of wondeful husbands on gfy ..

PR_Kris 09-21-2007 03:40 PM

My ex cost me $8K on the diamond, $3K on the band.

Two timing sluts are really expensive, I should have bought a dog :1orglaugh

Bugbee 09-21-2007 03:45 PM

I spent 8K it just appraised at 12K for the main ring 1.3 carats with an additional 3/4 carat in sm. diamonds all great clarity, quality and color. I bought her the matching band for Christmas (08) for an additional 2K so the final appraisal is 15K. She is worth every penny.

Yes quality is way more important than quantity and also make sure you insure the ring the day you get it, it is super cheap on your homeowners policy.

GOOD LUCK!!

need diamonds or watches (I got a guy)

PR_Kris 09-21-2007 03:46 PM

I have a platinum band for sale cheap:winkwink:

spacedog 09-21-2007 05:13 PM

fuck.. don't remind me.. RRRR!

First one I bought her, was somthing like $500.. that one ended up getting lost

2nd one I bought her was about $350, that one ended up in a sewer when she took it off her finger & threw it at me in the middle of an argument in public on the sidewalk..

the third one was a fucking cubic for $125, that one got lost

the fourth one cost me $500 something.. that one ended up in a pawn shop for a whopping $30

the fifth one was another cubic.. (Fucking bitch is pissing me off now, hell no she's not getting another diamond.) This one is $50, but this one got stolen by the fat fuck she used to hang out with...

The next one cost me $900 & was a bribe to convince the bitch to not want to get a divorce... fucking cunt, I should have agreed to the divorce, lol.. That ring she fucking pawned for booze & drugs..

Now, here it is, 10 years with this psycho.. the last ring I purchased I got from one of those buy, sell, trade jewellers, but not a pawn shop, but somewhat similar.. was a band with 10 diamonds in it from the 1950s for only $30... year later, brought in for a cleaning & they appraised it at $5000!!

Fucked up how things work out..

not knocking the guy you are quoting but a diamond carat weight is only 1 of 3 main aspects of a diamonds value.

you can have a really high quality 0.3 carat diamond worth roughly the same as a 1 carat diamond, if the 1 carat is a bad yellow colour, full of inclusions.

Colour, clarity and weight - you can comprimise on 1 or 2 and get it a lot lot cheaper, but if your a purist, you pay for perfection.
