Apple iMovie Users DO NOT buy iLife '08 and expect it to be better.
 

The new version of iMovie is complete and utter crap, scratch that, it's Pure Shit. All the editing features are gone, there are zero, I repeat, ZERO video effects (this includes slow motion, no effects at all). THere is no Timeline so getting audio in the exact spot is near impossible. No Themes to match iDVD, it's possibly the worst video editing program I have ever used and I have used them all.

Stick with iMovie HD, do not spend the money expecting an upgrade.

Now please PayPal me $5 for the $80 I just saved you, so I can get my fucking money back.

im on a mac and I have ilife08 installed and love it... for simple shit like taking the christmas video and transfer it to dvd.. for editing get either final cut express hd or Final Cut pro I have both if you want em

I do have them.. and iMovie '08 is pure crap, which is why they are now giving away iMovie HD on the Apple website to anyone who bought iLife '08 because so many people are complaining. The new catchphrase on their forum is "Upgrade to iMovie '06"

Yah, I read that they did it to push people to FCP Express... which I have, but oh well. iMOvie '08 is pure shit, I hope it bites them in the fucking ass.
